After just a couple of days, my dh is feeling better! It's been so busy the last few days that I haven't posted an update. He was in pain Saturday, Sunday and Monday but seemed to be back to normal mostly yesterday and today he's up and about cleaning the garage. Not sure if he passed the stone yet but it seems like it. They actually didn't give any pain medicine to come home with so he basically had to just suffer through. My tough man handled it pretty well!
Sunday I woke up really late and didn't make it to Mass:( I should have got my butt moving but I wasn't motivated at all, and that should have motivated me some!! So I didn't make it Mass at all on Sunday, I haven't made it once on Friday to Mass or the Stations of the Cross, I think I've prayed the Rosary 3 times since Ash Wednesday, I haven't been keeping up with my journals really either, and I think that I know why. To try and explain it isn't so complicated, the evil one is distracting me and I have been letting him. I have done pretty good with fast food(although I have had Taco Bell twice), I haven't bought pop at the store or at a restaurant but I did have a cup of pop at a baby shower 2 weeks ago and a can of pop this past Sunday along with 1 slice of pizza at a kid's birthday party(In the last 3 weeks I've been to 2 birthday parties for 2 different friend's 3 yr old daughters and a baby shower for another friend!!), but I did fore go cake and ice cream!
Not doing well but I know that and I am going to try smaller steps and "start over" so to speak. One day at a time and little things. I expect too much of myself and then I let myself down or get distracted. After all it's not about me, it's about Jesus and what he sacrificed for me! I need to look to Him and find out what He wants me to sacrifice.

Lent update
Yesterday didn't go quite how I planned. We didn't make it to Mass at all. The weather wasn't very nice, first rain, then some hail, then snow, only a couple of inches, but I didn't feel very comfortable going out at 6:45pm by myself with two munchkins in that! I didn't get my journaling done at all, I didn't pray the Rosary either. However I did abstain from meat, and no pop, fast food or pizza!
Today is going better. I've been drinking water all day or milk, and no pizza or fast food. I REALLY wanted to order pizza for dinner tonight, BBQ chicken for me, pepperoni for the boys, mmmm, but NO I will not do it.
*Side Note* Besides I think I have come to the realization that I am addicted to pizza, if that's possible. My first job was at Pizza Hut for over 2 years and I got to eat pretty much free everyday for an employee lunch. Then I worked at a crafts store for about a year, then Pizza Hut for a couple of months till I got married. Then I worked at Domino's in NY for over a year, then Pizza Hut for about a month in MD, then Lowe's for a year. When we moved back to OH, and I had to find a job, I chose Vito's pizza(based on experience, I knew it was my best shot, LOL) and every time I worked at a pizza place I got free pizza nearly every day I worked and days I wasn't at work(except this last time, cause we had kids by then) we'd order pizza a lot! At the last place we got in the habit of ordering pizza once a week and it has continued for over the last year. Its really hard to go more than a few days without it, I love pizza! As I said, I think I'm addicted, so forty days without it should do me some major good!
Back to today. I decided yesterday to buy the workbook to go along with Holly Pierlot's A Mother's Rule for Life. It's an adobe file you can purchase for just $8.47 on her website. Today I sat down and started filling it out and writing my MROL. I've gotten alot accomplished on it and its only Day 2!
After the boys go to bed tonight, I will pray the Rosary and do yesterday's and today's entries in the My Way of the Cross journal and today's entry in my prayer journal.

Ash Wednesday and Lent
*Update* After reading Jen's post this morning, I realized why I may have been feeling the urge to attend daily Mass on either Wednesdays or Fridays! It will be Fridays and then I will go to the Stations of the Cross. Everything below listed in purple I have added today. Thanks Jen for some inspiration. Updated Wednesday morning.
Tomorrow morning starts the Lenten season. Ash Wednesday and Lent signify a lot to me. It reminds me that we all will return to ashes, to dust, from whence we came. Lent reminds me of God's forgiveness, his willingness to come down from Heaven and die on a cross for US!
I was planning on taking the boys to 8:30am Mass tomorrow, and take Ethan to school a half hour late. I prepared him tonight and he started crying. When I asked why he was so upset, he told me he would be late for school and miss art class! He's only 5 and doesn't understand the significance of the ashes anyway, so I think I have decided, rather than upset him more, Alex and I will go to the 10am Mass, or we will all three go to the 7pm Mass. The only problem with the 7pm Mass is the boys are usually in bed by 8, so it would delay their bedtime. However I feel to show Ethan the importance and go as a family(minus daddy, of course!), I will deal with their bedtime being a half hour or so later than the norm.
I've decided for Lent I am not only giving up some things, but I am going to do some additional things. I have high standards for myself, so hopefully I can fulfill this. Putting it on here makes me even more accountable!
9. I am going to finish reading A Mother's Rule of Life, and finally write my own Rule.

1. I am giving up pop, pizza and fast food (this is all extremely hard for me, but not only will it be spiritually good for me because of the struggle but physically good for me!). Basically I am going to start eating healthier.
2.I am going to pray the Rosary daily, the Divine Mercy on each Friday of Lent.
3.I will attempt to go to one daily Mass a week(probably Wednesday or Friday though I'm not sure why.) It will be Fridays and Alex and I will go to the Stations of the Cross also.
4.I will also make it to Mass each Sunday and Holy Day of Obligation(updated also, thanks Jen! I always forget how much harder it is for me to do this when Jason is here!)
5. I will also be journaling. I purchased a 2008 Prayer Journal, and a My Way of the Cross Journal - A Lenten Journey with Jesus.
6.As a family we will be lighting our Lenten wreath and praying before dinner each night.
7. I will go to Confession, and finally be able to receive Our Lord in Communion again!
8. I will make sure to remember to abstain from meat on Ash Wednesday and every Friday in Lent, and to fast for at least Ash Wednesday and Good Friday.
9. I am going to finish reading A Mother's Rule of Life, and finally write my own Rule.
Here are my journals:
The boys' new books:
Our Lenten Wreath:
Its an all ceramic, crown of thorns with purple ribbon and Easter lilies on it. It came with 5 purple and 1 pink candle. I purchased it and all the above books along with Catholic stickers from The Saints' Market Catholic Store.
