House Blessing

Father Jim and the seminarian, Chris, from our parish came out today and blessed our house. It was a really neat, and wonderful experience. I always get nervous around priests. I'm not sure why. Something to do with the fact that they are a holy person, chosen by Christ to lead his sheep, and I am just this sinner. I know, I know, they are human too. I'm sure they have made mistakes, they aren't perfect, but do you know what I mean? But Father Jim is so nice, he puts me at ease almost immediately. Plus Ethan and Alex really like him. They talk to him like an old friend and they have only met him a few times, since he is fairly new at our parish, I think it will be a year in July, and we've only been going there since about January. Well, anyway, he let Ethan help by sprinkling holy water in each room! It was so neat to see the kids included and trying to say the responses and everything. Father Jim even remembered us from Mass and when he was getting ready to leave he said "See you tomorrow in the front row!" The boys even had to show him their nice, neat playroom and toys. It was so cute! Jason even talked to him for a minute which was nice, cause that was the first time they have met, since he still isnt attending Mass with us. (Continued prayers for this, please! I really would like us all to go as a family, but I want Jason to be there sincerely wanting to worship, not just cause I drag him there, lol.)
